Step 5 – App Credentials

  • Go to the API Manager and login with your Google Play Developer Account logins.
  • In the left-sidebar menu, under API’s and Services click on Library

  • Under Mobile APIs click on Google Play Developer API

  • Click on the Enable button

  • In the left-sidebar menu, under API Manager click on Credentials

  • Click on Create Credentials dropdown
  • Select the OAuth client ID option

  • NOTE: If this is the first time you are creating an OAuth Client ID, a notification will appear to set a Product Name for the Client ID.
  • Click on the blue Configure Consent Screen button to the right of notification.
  • In the next screen, add your App Name to the Product Name Field > click on Save.

  • Back in the Create Client ID screen, choose Other from Application type.
  • Click on the Create button.

  • A pop-up with your Client ID credentials will appear > Copy the Client ID> Click on OK

  • Go back to MagCast App Credentials section and paste ID in the Client ID field.

  • Go back to the API Manager > Credentials Section
  • Click on Create Credentials button and select Service Account Key

  • Under Service Account select New Service Account.

  • 01 – Name your Service Account e.g. Service Account1
  • 02 – Under Key Type select JSON

  • A pop-up will appear to set the Role for this Service key
  • 01 Select Project
  • 02 Select Owner

  • Your selection will begin processing
  • Once done, click on Create button

  • In the Credentials dashboard, click on the Manage Service Account link
    [to the right of Service Account Keys section].

  • Under the Service Account ID field, copy the Client ID of the Service Account you just created.

  • Go back to MagCast App Credentials section and paste the Email in the Client Email field provided.

  • Go back to the Google Cloud Platform > Click on API Manager > Credentials Section
  • 01 – Click on Create Credentials button and select Service Account Key
  • 02 – Select the Service Account created previously i.e. Service Account 1
  • 03 – Under Key Type select P12 and then click on Create.

  • The P12 file will start to download to your computer’s Downloads folder > click on Save File.

  • Close the P12 Notification.

  • Go back to MagCast App Credentials section and upload the P12 to the field provided.

  • Login to your Play Store account
  • In the left-sidebar menu, click on Settings
  • And then click on Users & Permissions

  • Click on Invite New User button

  • Copy and paste the Service Account Client Email from MagCast into Email field.
  • From the Role dropdown menu select Administrator
  • Click on Add User button

  • Go back to MagCast – Android App Credentials section and click on the Submit button to save your details.
